This is a draft. It describes what the software actually does, which is the part worth getting right first, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and the operating entity is not yet named. Both need settling before this is relied on, particularly for people in the EU and the UK.
The short version
You type your figures in, they are yours, you can take them out or delete them whenever you like. The service is free for now and provided as it is.
Your figures are yours
You keep every right to what you enter. Nothing is claimed over it, and it is not used to train anything or shown to anyone unless you publish a link.
Using it sensibly
- Do not use it to publish anyone else's financial information without their say-so.
- Do not use it for anything unlawful.
- Do not attack it, script it at volume, or try to reach another account's figures.
Accounts doing any of that can be closed.
What is promised
Honestly, not much yet. This is early software run by one person. It is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime, and it may change or stop. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; Export CSV is there for exactly that.
Backups exist, and so does the possibility of losing data. Nothing here makes anyone liable for business losses, lost revenue or lost figures.
Cost
Free while it is in beta. A paid plan is planned at $19 a month, or $190 a year, for a custom domain on shared dashboards, no link back to us on them, and editor codes for teammates. Everything else stays free, including sharing. Anything you already have stays usable, you will be told before anything changes, and nothing starts charging without you choosing it.
Shared links
A link you publish is public if you set it to public, and search engines may index it. A link behind a code is told not to be indexed, but a code is a mild lock, not a safe. Think before publishing figures you would not want read.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like, from the app, without asking. We can close an account that is breaking these terms.
